Deadpool on pc locked fps driver#
BTW, it's still happening on the NEW Nvidia driver that came out and the fix was downloaded for FH5 as well. I'm looking to see if anyone got a fix for this or knows what's causing it. The only way to get back to 60 fps is to restart my computer. Randomly my screen will flash black and when it comes back the game is locked at 30 fps. Same here, playing on a 2080S with a 60hz monitor, v sync on, 60 fps. I just looked at a random Alienware laptop priced at £2200.I then went to a custom system builder and added the same specs and it came to £1200! Even accounting for a slightly better build etc doesn't add up to £1000 worth of improvements Personally, if I had the choice, I'd go with a PC every single time over a Series X.I only got a console as the cost of a 4k GPU was too high.Īnd, as mentioned above, Alienware laptops are not as good as people seem to think.you will pay a Premium for the Alienware name.a similar laptop from elsewhere could cost anywhere up to half what you pay for an Alienware laptop. If the OP was wanting to game at 4k (which wouldn't be possible with a 2060 anyway), then a Series X would be worth it versus the cost of a 4k GPU.but even then, if the person already has the hardware, then a Series X is not needed.
Deadpool on pc locked fps 1080p#
XSX is even better than Alienware laptops which use to be the most powerful gaming devices in the world.Įven if someone could get hold of a Series X, it wouldn't make much sense to spend another $600 as the Series X would add nothing at 1080p that the OPs system doesn't already do.might add an fps or 2 but nothing worth the expense. The fastest computer in the world doesn't come close to the power of an XSX. As we've said before, hardcoded framerate caps are a relic of a bygone era and need to go away.I would buy an Xbox series x.
Deadpool on pc locked fps code#
The way I see it, if a game engine can handle 20-120 fps without problems, that same code can be adapted to handle 20-240 fps as well. Hopefully, the ultimate solution is to provide PC gamers with the ability to run with an unlocked framerate, at least up to a suitably high ceiling line 240fps, for those 240Hz display owners. It could be that Bethesda will lock out INI file edits, or put in a hard-coded FPS cap. Bethesda, speaking with Polygon, has confirmed it's aware of the issue but doesn't expect a fix until the game launches on November 14. Dubbed "speed hacking," this is a bannable offense in most multiplayer games. I noticed framerates of nearly 200fps inside some buildings during the beta, and as with Fallout 4, that caused things to speed up (here's some evidence of that in video posted to Streamable). The bad news is that going beyond 144fps still has some issues.īethesda will need to ensure everything works properly and that everyone runs the game calculations at the correct rate, as you can't have a multiplayer game where some people are able to move faster and break the physics. So if you have a 144Hz or 120Hz display, the above INI hacking may not even be necessary. I'll confirm during the next beta test tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure the game supports running at your display refresh rate by default (up to 144Hz), even with iPresentInterval=1. With Fallout 76, it appears that Bethesda has made some changes to the engine to improve things relative to Fallout 4.
